Webley introduced a new model early in the 60000's block, with longer grip, fluted cylinder, and replaceable barrels, threaded to frame instead of forged as an integral part. Most examples from these smaller number blocks have the same short grips as earlier production, but some have the longer grip used on later, fluted cylinder models. This suggests two points of manufacture, and perhaps solid-frame production was sub-contracted during retooling for new hinged-frame models.
